Manufacturing Operations Project Manager 1 (Quality Control)

Location: Houston, TX (TAS-AIRPORT), United States; onsite manufacturing environment

What you will do

• Lead daily activities for quality control inspectors and material receiving inspectors, providing guidance, assignments, and escalation support.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes, systems, documentation, and records.
• Conduct quality audits, inspections, safety and quality meetings, and reviews of inspection and test plans.
• Interpret drawings, procedures, instructions, specifications, and applicable quality codes to determine product acceptance.
• Prepare nonconformance reports, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and communicate quality findings with management, customers, vendors, and other departments.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management.
• At least two years of experience with ISO 9000 or similar quality management systems.
• At least one year of experience with applicable ASME, AWS, SSPC, welding, construction, or quality codes.
• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in applied science, engineering, science, or quality management is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand English is required.
• Ability to obtain Visual/Magnetic Testing Level II certification within six months of employment.

Nice to have

• Qualifications in NDE methods or Certified Level II status.
• ISO 9001 training.
• Associate degree in a relevant field.
