Senior Counsel (Insurance Defense)

Location: Lubbock, Texas; remote, hybrid, or onsite work options available. An active Texas bar license is required.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop compelling case themes for complex defense matters.
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, trials, discovery, and full case management.
• Communicate regularly with clients and cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys at all experience levels.
• Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.

Requirements

• Active bar license in the State of Texas required.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-approved school.
• 8+ years of litigation experience, including litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation.
• Ability to manage all facets of discovery and trial independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and time-management systems.
