Senior Counsel (Insurance Defense)

Location: California, United States; remote, hybrid, or onsite work options available

Base salary: $160,000–$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional annual billable-hours bonuses are available.

What you will do

• Develop compelling case themes and strategies for high-exposure litigation.
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, trials, discovery, and full case management.
• Communicate routinely with clients and cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Lead and direct less experienced attorneys while collaborating with colleagues at all experience levels.

Requirements

• Active California bar license required.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience, including litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation.
• Experience managing all aspects of discovery and trial proceedings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong time management.
• Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
