What you will do

• Initiate and lead actuarial studies, analyses, and presentation materials for decision-makers.
• Apply actuarial techniques and statistical analysis to insurance pricing, premium development, claim trends, experience studies, medical economics, profitability, wellness, predictive modeling, and claim reserving.
• Define analytical problems, establish data requirements, investigate root causes, and develop creative solutions.
• Validate results through reasonability checks, anomaly detection, alternative explanations, and industry knowledge.
• Provide recommendations and decision support to management, business partners, and executive stakeholders.
• Mentor less experienced staff and represent actuarial perspectives in cross-disciplinary settings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field.
• At least five years of actuarial experience in the relevant area of specialization.
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) certification required.
• In-depth knowledge of actuarial principles, practices, and processes across multiple disciplines.
• Expertise in complex analytical assignments, problem-solving, communication, and leading others.
• Must work remotely from Pennsylvania, United States.

Nice to have

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) certification.
• Pursuing FSA examinations.
