Senior Director, Regional Actuarial (Healthcare)

Location: Fully remote within the United States, excluding Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Louisiana, Montana, North Dakota, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Wyoming, and U.S. Territories. Daily work is completed from a home office, with occasional travel for team meetings and company events.

Salary: $218,592–$286,902 per year in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington; $196,733–$258,212 per year in other eligible locations.

What you will do

• Set the strategic vision for ACA pricing methodologies and oversee annual CMS and state DOI rate filings.
• Lead financial forecasts and create executive-level reports and presentations on pricing strategies, risks, market insights, competitive trends, and macroeconomic dynamics.
• Partner with Finance, Market P&L, Insurance Product, Medical Economics, and Government Affairs teams.
• Lead morbidity trend, competitive, and other advanced analytics initiatives to inform pricing, growth, and network strategies.
• Support federal and state advocacy efforts and develop actuarial thought leadership on ACA regulations.
• Mentor, coach, and support the development of the Regional Actuarial organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or four years of equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of quantitative analysis experience in the healthcare industry.
• 5+ years of experience collaborating with and influencing an Executive Leadership Committee.
• Experience in pricing or another analytics-driven leadership role.
• Ability to work remotely from an eligible U.S. location.

• Strong knowledge of ACA healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries or progress toward becoming a Fellow.
• Strong communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and process management skills.
• Experience streamlining workflows and improving operational efficiency.
