Associate Architect (Health Insurance)

Location: Remote, Work At Home – Pennsylvania, United States. US citizenship is required due to contractual and access requirements.

What you will do

• Support architecture strategy, design, development, implementation, integration, optimization, and ongoing support.
• Assist with enterprise business solutions, business process design, opportunity analysis, and innovation portfolio development.
• Specify and design systems, solutions, networks, infrastructure elements, and related processes.
• Review system designs, evaluate major design options, and balance functional, service-quality, and systems-management requirements.
• Translate component requirements into detailed implementation solutions and provide technical guidance during development and integration.
• Lead improvement initiatives, support problem resolution, and communicate architecture decisions across business and technical teams.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required because of contractual and access requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field, or six years of related experience in lieu of a four-year degree.
• Knowledge of architecture methods, design standards, requirements analysis, and enterprise solution development.
• Relevant skills may include IMS, DB2, Oracle, Teradata, data warehousing, COBOL, Visual Basic, C, C++, SAS, Java, JavaScript, PEGA, CSS3, JSON, Cognos, Hadoop, SQL, J2EE, HTML5, and XML.
• Ability to communicate with business users, developers, management, and cross-functional departments.

Nice to have

• Health insurance industry business knowledge.
• Industry certifications such as Java Developer, DB2, Cognos, PEGA, Enterprise Architect, or Project Management.
