Expert Subtitle Translator/QCer (English to German)

What you will do

• Translate subtitles from English into German for film, television, streaming, and game content.
• Perform localization quality control and review subtitle accuracy, timing, and technical consistency.
• Apply cultural and linguistic best practices to subtitle and dubbing translations.
• Use subtitle editing software and web or cloud-based technology.
• Adapt quickly to workflow and process changes while managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail.

Requirements

• Native-level German and extensive knowledge of English.
• University degree or equivalent professional experience in translation.
• Experience in localization quality control, audiovisual translation, or subtitling.
• Strong understanding of subtitle and dubbing nuances, closed captioning, and common technical challenges.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, analytical, multitasking, and accountability skills.
• An NDA must be signed before the recruitment process begins.
