Freelance Medical Translator (English/German to Latvian)

What you will do

• Translate medical and healthcare-related content from English and/or German into Latvian.
• Maintain accurate meaning, medical terminology, and factual content.
• Follow client terminology databases, style guides, project instructions, and requirements.
• Research unfamiliar terms and resolve terminology questions.
• Deliver assignments within agreed deadlines and complete post-delivery quality assurance or revision tasks.

Requirements

• Native Latvian proficiency.
• Excellent command of English and/or German.
• At least one year of professional translation experience in the medical or healthcare field.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and effective research skills.
• Familiarity with CAT tools and the ability to follow terminology resources and style guides.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines reliably.

Nice to have

• Degree or formal training in translation, linguistics, medicine, pharmacy, or a related field.
