What you will do

• Translate and localize subtitles for TV shows, films, documentaries, and other audiovisual content from English into Portuguese and Spanish.
• Adapt dialogue to preserve tone, humor, cultural references, character voice, and regional language nuances.
• Edit and synchronize subtitles with audio cues, dialogue delivery, scene changes, and visual pacing.
• Use industry-standard subtitle editing and localization tools while following formatting, timing, readability, and platform-specific requirements.
• Proofread subtitles, incorporate feedback from QA teams, editors, and project managers, and make linguistic and technical corrections.
• Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and consistency across client and style-guide requirements.

Requirements

• Portuguese proficiency at C1 level, including knowledge of regional dialects, cultural nuances, and references.
• English proficiency at C1 level, with excellent spoken and written comprehension.
• 1–2 years of experience in subtitle translation or editing, preferably from Polish.
• Familiarity with AI-powered translation and localization tools such as Phrase.
• Strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to work efficiently with audiovisual content.
• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field is preferred.
