HR Generalist

Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco office, with presence required 4 days per week; Tuesday is the designated work-from-home day.

Salary: $123K–$158K annual salary

What you will do

• Champion Lambda’s culture, mission, purpose, and values across the employee experience.
• Coordinate end-to-end onboarding, including pre-boarding, Day 1 activities, cultural integration, and onboarding plans.
• Own offboarding processes, including exit interviews, access deprovisioning, system updates, and coordination with HR and IT.
• Provide HR support through the JIRA ticketing system and assist with payroll processing and issue resolution.
• Support HR compliance, regulatory filings, workplace postings, employee notices, leaves, accommodations, and grievances.
• Maintain HRIS data and employee lifecycle changes in Rippling and, after implementation, Workday.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist or People Operations experience, preferably in a fast-paced technology or high-growth environment.
• Strong knowledge of onboarding, offboarding, benefits, leaves of absence, accommodations, payroll support, and HR compliance.
• Sound judgment, discretion, independent decision-making, and the ability to handle confidential employee information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners.
• Ability to own projects, identify next steps, and complete work with limited oversight.
• Experience with HRIS and HR technology platforms; Rippling or Workday experience is a plus.

• Human Resources project management experience.
