Human Resources Generalist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Administer daily HR functions, including recruiting, selection, onboarding, orientation, training, and employee relations.
• Process payroll, wages, status changes, leave entitlements, attendance, and other personnel transactions using SAP, Workday, TCP, and related HRIS.
• Support benefits enrollment, safety and wellness programs, FMLA, disability, and other leave-of-absence programs.
• Promote open communication, counsel employees, and coach and develop employees according to their performance and development needs.
• Identify and resolve HR process gaps and support continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain compliance with employment, wage, safety, FMLA, OSHA, and other applicable regulations; travel 5–10% as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant HR work experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, safety requirements, and employee-protection regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at different organizational levels.
• Ability to work outside normal hours when needed and handle the demands of employee-facing HR work.

Nice to have

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Two years of experience in a union setting, if applicable.
