Commercial Lines Service Team Leader (Property & Casualty Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role in Columbus or Dublin, Ohio, United States

What you will do

• Manage the operational activities of a commercial lines service team and maintain consistent service, professionalism, and quality standards.
• Coordinate inside service for new and existing clients, including account development, problem solving, insurance inquiries, and occasional client visits.
• Oversee commercial property and casualty renewals, policy documentation, invoicing, open items, workloads, backlogs, and monthly KPI reports.
• Identify and resolve coverage, staffing, workflow, and department workload issues while performing periodic quality audits.
• Manage two or more employees through hiring, training, development, performance reviews, work planning, scheduling, and performance improvement plans.
• Maintain accurate client files and records in agency management and document management systems while following company workflows and best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a commercial property and casualty insurance agency.
• Comprehensive knowledge of property and casualty coverage, underwriting, and rating concepts.
• State property and casualty insurance license, or willingness to obtain one within an agreed timeframe.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Prior management experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to manage complex tasks, prioritize work, maintain accuracy, and operate effectively with minimal instruction.
• Proficiency with internet-based programs and intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge; Sagitta/ImageRight experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, or CPCU, or commitment to pursue one.
• Experience with Sagitta or ImageRight.
