Property & Casualty Liability Claims Manager (Insurance)

Location: Remote within the United States, with a Florida focus; travel of up to 15% may be required for client meetings, mediations, and internal reviews.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop liability claims adjusters and technical specialists across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage complex, high-exposure general liability, bodily injury, and professional liability claims.
• Oversee claims strategy, reserving accuracy, litigation management, and settlement negotiations within delegated authority.
• Partner with clients, brokers, attorneys, and vendors on high-quality, cost-effective claim resolutions.
• Monitor claims data, conduct quality assurance reviews and audits, and support risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, and operations teams while supporting client reviews, renewals, and service presentations.

Requirements

• Must work remotely from the United States, with Florida identified as the role location.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of liability claims experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience managing Property & Casualty claims operations in government, public-sector, or municipal environments.
• Strong knowledge of commercial general liability, bodily injury, complex litigation, exposure evaluation, and settlement negotiation.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, decision-making, mentoring, and performance-management skills.

Nice to have

• JD or CPCU designation.
• Familiarity with claims management systems and data analytics tools.
