Senior Claims Representative - Bodily Injury

Location: Hybrid from the Richfield, Ohio office four days per week, or fully remote from the USA if not local to the office. Hybrid employees work onsite Tuesday–Thursday plus one additional day determined by business needs, with one remote day per week.

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage a caseload of bodily injury claims and evaluate compensability and liability.
• Plan and conduct investigations to confirm coverage and assess liability, compensability, and damages.
• Determine and negotiate claim settlements and reserves within assigned authority.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when required.
• Communicate coverage and settlement information to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Authorize timely payments and maintain complete claim files, correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management and insurance, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of property and casualty claims-handling experience.
• Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claims procedures, industry laws, and regulations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads, handle confidential information discreetly, and build effective relationships.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Commercial auto and litigation experience.
• Completed or ongoing professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC).
