Casualty Claims Examiner

Location: Hybrid position based out of the Richardson, Texas office; three days in-office per week after orientation, increasing to up to four days during the six-month training period.

Salary: $75,000K–$105,000K per year, commensurate with experience and location/job market. A $2,500 sign-on bonus may be available.

What you will do

• Guide policyholders, claimants, and other involved parties through the claims process.
• Investigate claims, confirm coverage and policy provisions, assess liability, and determine legal responsibility.
• Evaluate bodily injury damages, establish claim values, adjust reserves, and authorize payments within assigned authority.
• Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys from representation through settlement or verdict.
• Identify potential fraud indicators, escalate concerns, and communicate significant findings to claims management.
• Maintain compliance with insurance guidelines and requirements while participating in claims forums.

Requirements

• At least three years of successful bodily injury claims handling experience.
• Prior private passenger automotive liability claims experience.
• Active adjuster license at the time of hire.
• Customer service, professional communication, negotiation, organization, judgment, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to follow Department of Insurance guidelines and requirements established in the Insurance Code.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other claims tools.
