Engineering Lab Co-Op (Jan - June 2027) (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global facility in Anoka, Minnesota, US; six-month full-time internship from January through June 2027.

Salary: $25 per hour for time worked.

What you will do

• Support product performance, agency approval, and development testing in the laboratory.
• Set up and operate lab equipment, design test fixtures, and assemble prototype products and equipment.
• Update standard work documentation, test plans, procedures, and management systems.
• Generate accurate test reports, analyze results, and recommend next steps.
• Develop data acquisition, logging, control, PLC, HMI, and industrial communication systems for electrical and control testing.
• Support new product development, engineering projects, lab improvements, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Current junior, graduating with an undergraduate degree between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Ability to complete a six-month full-time internship onsite in Anoka, Minnesota, from January through June 2027.
• Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate across organizational levels, and adapt to change.
• Strong work ethic and personal responsibility to complete assignments.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
