2027 Summer Internship – Engineering

Location: Easton, Pennsylvania, United States; most internships are held at the corporate headquarters, with some opportunities at Alburtis, Nazareth, and Allentown, Pennsylvania.

What you will do

• Take ownership of substantial engineering projects with measurable impact on the department and business.
• Create 3D virtual models of piping installations for testing and develop SolidWorks models and drawings.
• Support product development and testing for piping, insulation, fluid-control, and fire-suppression systems.
• Design machine tools, prototypes, fixtures, and pre-assembled piping installation systems.
• Improve manufacturing processes through Lean initiatives, process improvement, Kanban, and scrap reduction.
• Develop embedded controls and automated systems using PLCs, VFDs, vision systems, and robot programming.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering or an engineering-related field relevant to the department.
• Must be entering at least the junior year of college.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and interest in contributing to a team environment.
• Relevant areas include computer or software engineering, electrical engineering, fire protection engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, automation, and mechanical design engineering.
