Production Manager - Briquetting (Manufacturing)

Location: Parsons, West Virginia, USA; on-site

Salary: $61,800–$113,100 (Zone C), $68,000–$124,500 (Zone B), or $74,200–$135,800 (Zone A) annually, depending on work location and labor-cost zone. Eligible for incentive plans.

A consumer products company producing Kingsford finished products and other branded goods.

What you will do

• Lead safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible briquetting operations.
• Deliver production schedules while meeting quality, service, throughput, and efficiency targets.
• Manage labor, materials, equipment resources, departmental budgets, and operating expenses.
• Drive continuous improvement through waste elimination, productivity improvement, labor efficiency, cost reduction, and visual performance management.
• Partner with Quality and Supply Chain to resolve process and product issues.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop production employees while building engagement and accountability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years of experience leading teams.
• Experience in highly mechanized manufacturing, such as metalworking, machinery, industrial equipment, or lumber and wood products manufacturing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production workflows, with experience using SAP or another ERP system.
• Strong communication, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, decision-making, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to balance short-term operational priorities with long-term goals and organizational capability.

Nice to have

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
• Experience with KPI tracking, production reporting, and workforce planning.
