Routing and Switching Product Line Manager, IP Network Innovation and Modernization

What you will do

• Identify and define differentiated IP solution opportunities using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Engage Service Provider customers and account teams to support network transformation, modernization, and product adoption.
• Define transformation programs, project plans, migration strategies, and portfolio requirements across IP/MPLS, metro, edge, access, and cloud-connected networks.
• Translate market needs, emerging technologies, and AI-enabled operating models into product requirements and roadmap priorities.
• Provide thought leadership on AI, automation, advanced routing, service orchestration, and scalable network architectures.
• Create roadmap narratives, whitepapers, transformation frameworks, customer presentations, and value propositions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in product management, technical strategy, network architecture, consulting, or transformation leadership.
• Experience in routing, networking, telecom, cloud infrastructure, or Service Provider environments.
• Experience contributing to or leading large Service Provider network transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of IP routing and Service Provider architectures, including OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing, multicast, QoS, and VXLAN.
• Ability to align product, engineering, sales, and customer stakeholders and communicate at both technical and executive levels.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-driven networking, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, automated optimization, and traffic forecasting.
• Familiarity with ML analytics platforms, streaming telemetry, data pipelines, orchestration systems, cloud-native architectures, and operational support systems.
• Direct engagement with Tier-1 or Tier-2 Service Providers on IP modernization, backbone evolution, metro transformation, edge cloud, automation, or AI initiatives.
