Data Center Manager

Location: Vernon, California, United States. Onsite role with Monday–Friday standard hours of 8am–4pm and participation in a 24x7 coverage rotation.

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage daily operations and onsite data center technicians across one or more facilities.
• Monitor critical infrastructure through the BMS, escalate issues, and support troubleshooting of power, cooling, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs, contractors, construction projects, inspections, and facility safety standards.
• Manage 24x7x365 schedules, on-call coverage, emergency response training, security compliance, and video surveillance monitoring.
• Coordinate customer move-ins, facility support, customer needs, purchasing, shipping and receiving, and consumable supplies.
• Evaluate PUE, recommend equipment improvements, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of data center experience.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience with strong people management, communication, and training skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Vernon and participate in any shift required for 24x7 coverage.
• Ability to support facility walkthroughs, shipping and receiving, break-fix work, infrastructure incidents, and contractor coordination.
• Ability to train technicians on BMS, NetSuite purchase orders, site walkthrough documentation, and emergency response procedures.
• Comfort working occasionally outdoors and in areas with construction noise, dirt, dust, grease, and equipment enclosures.
