Manager, Data Center Operations & Networking Engineering

Location: On-site at the Tempe, Arizona office; remote work is not an option. Domestic travel of up to 10% is required.

Salary: $115,142–$207,257 annually, with a midpoint of $161,200.

What you will do

• Lead daily and long-term operations for on-premises data centers, disaster recovery sites, and colocation facilities.
• Direct the architecture, engineering, implementation, and lifecycle management of LAN, WAN, data center, internet, wireless, VPN, and SD-WAN networks.
• Ensure availability, monitoring, capacity planning, incident response, maintenance, and service reliability for critical infrastructure.
• Partner with security, cloud, platform, application, and business teams on segmentation, zero trust, hybrid connectivity, compliance, and resilience.
• Plan disaster recovery exercises, failover testing, network recovery validation, infrastructure modernization, and lifecycle initiatives.
• Lead engineers and data center operations staff while managing vendors, carriers, budgets, contracts, and infrastructure roadmaps.

Requirements

• On-site presence at the Tempe, Arizona office is required; remote work is not available.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent, 5+ years of experience, subject-matter expertise, and 3+ years of supervisory experience; qualifying internal experience may substitute for the supervisory requirement.
• Experience with enterprise routing and switching, firewalls, WAN, SD-WAN, load balancing, VPN, data center networking, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Experience operating highly available data centers or colocation facilities and managing major incidents, vendors, carriers, budgets, contracts, and infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Azure networking, hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure, disaster recovery, security controls, capacity planning, and IT service management.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, troubleshooting, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CCNP, CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate, ITIL, or comparable certification.
• Experience with network automation, observability, configuration management, and infrastructure as code.
