Recycle Technician

Location: Goodyear, Arizona, United States

Salary: $15.50–$16.50 per hour

What you will do

• Collect, salvage, inspect, and sort reusable, recyclable, and waste materials.
• Maintain docks, collection areas, and multiple collection containers.
• Maintain logs and schedules and support the shift lead with punch-list items.
• Follow safety rules, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Work collaboratively with employees, supervisors, managers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Perform repetitive physical tasks and lift or move up to 35 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent training and experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Completed safety and task-training certifications.
• Ability to work the Wednesday–Saturday shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Nice to have

• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Forklift certification.
• Hazardous Waste Handling Training under RCRA.
• Bilingual communication skills and knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.
