Heavy Equipment Operator (Recycling and Waste)

What you will do

• Safely operate forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, and other heavy equipment at recycling centers, landfills, or transfer stations.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections and keep equipment clean and operational.
• Transfer, spread, cover, load, and compact waste or soil efficiently.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and report findings as required.
• Perform minor equipment servicing, complete condition reports, and refer complex repairs to the maintenance shop.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, serviced, and properly stored work area.

Requirements

• Two years of related heavy equipment operation experience.
• One year of experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Good customer service, communication, time management, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to follow company safety policies, avoid inappropriate risks, and work reliably.
