Decision Support Analyst

Location: Remote work from Pennsylvania, United States. Travel requirement: 0%–25%.

What you will do

• Provide analytical and consultative support to internal customer groups and external business partners.
• Translate business requirements into decision-support applications and reporting solutions.
• Define analytical studies, methodologies, database designs, and performance-measurement approaches.
• Model data sources and flows and help establish operational, privacy, and security frameworks.
• Interpret raw data and statistical results, identify follow-up actions, and prepare reports and presentations.
• Develop and maintain complex programs using SAS, R, SQL, and database technologies including DB2, Teradata, and Oracle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer or information science, mathematics or statistics, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience and education.
• At least 3 years of relevant progressive experience in industrial engineering, operations research, or a related field.
• Experience as a Decision Support Analyst or equivalent experience applying technology in a business or clinical environment.
• Strong technical skills with mainframe, PC, internet-based technologies, and large complex databases.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Business Objects, Cognos, and Enterprise Guide.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer or information science, mathematics or statistics, economics, industrial engineering, operations research, or a related field.
• Experience mentoring colleagues on technical and business aspects of project and consultative work.
