Manager Materials Project Management (M4) (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, TX, United States. Onsite role with approximately 10% travel. Relocation eligible.

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year, plus potential bonus and stock award compensation.

What you will do

• Develop and manage integrated materials planning processes covering make-versus-buy decisions, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, materials, and associated costs.
• Analyze customer demand, sales forecasts, and historical material usage to execute build-to-order and build-to-forecast plans.
• Establish best practices for inventory forecasting, purchasing, material control, production scheduling, and inventory accuracy.
• Develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships, cost, quality, delivery targets, and supplier scorecards.
• Coordinate with quality, engineering, machining, and assembly operations to identify issues and support 100% on-time delivery.
• Represent the materials organization on corporate task forces and manage department budgets, costs, and resources.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of materials management concepts, theories, and principles.
• Knowledge of the semiconductor and materials science industry and how materials operations support business objectives.
• Experience managing teams and adapting plans to service or operational challenges.
• Ability to resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems.
• Ability to guide, influence, and persuade internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, Texas, and travel approximately 10% of the time.
