Materials Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States; 100% in-office. The position is temporarily based in northeast San Antonio and will move to the permanent Brooks location at 7515 Inner Circle Dr., San Antonio, Texas 78235.

What you will do

• Supervise receiving, supermarket operations, inventory control, material handling, replenishment, point-of-use delivery, WIP, and finished-goods material flow.
• Maintain material availability and inventory accuracy through location control, cycle counting, corrective actions, and standardized processes.
• Maintain the Plan for Every Part system and support Kanban, pull systems, supermarkets, point-of-use inventory, and milk runs.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Planning, Purchasing, Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and MRB teams to resolve shortages, discrepancies, supplier issues, and production risks.
• Track materials KPIs, identify root causes, and support improvements using A3, PDCA, 5 Why, Pareto analysis, Value Stream Mapping, and standard work.
• Supervise, coach, and develop materials and warehouse employees while enforcing environmental, health, and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, industrial engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• 4+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain within manufacturing.
• 2+ years of experience supervising or leading a warehouse, materials, inventory, or manufacturing team.
• Experience with PFEP, Kanban, supermarket, pull, point-of-use, lean warehouse, and material replenishment concepts.
• Experience with Kaizen events, structured problem-solving, and ERP/MRP systems for inventory and materials planning.
• Must work 100% in-office in the San Antonio, Texas area.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or Infor Syteline.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing certification.
