What you will do

• Manage actuarial staff, including hiring, coaching, development, performance management, and productivity oversight.
• Oversee rate filings for large group, small group, direct pay, and senior products.
• Develop rating strategies with Underwriting and Rating, Sales, and Product Management and Development.
• Support claim reserve processes and pricing development for new products.
• Analyze premium trends, identify changes, and recommend pricing actions.
• Ensure rating strategies and products comply with applicable regulations and remain financially viable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong emphasis in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• At least 8 years of actuarial experience.
• At least 5 years of management experience or experience leading teams or complex projects.
• ASA or ACAS designation and pursuit of FSA or FCAS designation.
• Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries.
• Strong knowledge of actuarial methods, supervisory skills, communication, organization, and project management.

Nice to have

• 10 years of actuarial experience.
• FSA or FCAS designation.
• Expertise in premium rate calculations, reserves, plan design, trend analysis, rate table construction, actuarial research, or systems development.
