Assistant Director Payment Integrity Policy & Implementation

Location: Hybrid, three days per week in the office at offices in Salt Lake City, Boise, Fargo, Portland, Vancouver, Renton, Medford, Burlington, or Lewiston. Preference is given to candidates within commuting distance of selected offices or willing to relocate.

Salary: $121,600–$164,500 expected hiring range in Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho; North Dakota salary range is $101,444–$167,383. Bonus target: 15%.

What you will do

• Lead strategic planning and execution for reimbursement policy, coding disputes, and Payment Integrity initiatives.
• Develop budgets, policies, workflows, change management plans, program metrics, and financial justifications.
• Oversee the Reimbursement Policy Committee and coordinate review with legal, compliance, benefits, network, claims, operations, and finance stakeholders.
• Direct innovation teams and coding dispute resolution to implement affordability initiatives across internal and vendor-supported tools.
• Develop long-term Payment Integrity strategies, roadmaps, and recommendations related to legislative and regulatory changes.
• Lead governance, risk management, data infrastructure improvements, KPIs, and vendor RFP collaboration while managing 3–6 direct and 40–60 total FTEs.

Requirements

• Master’s or higher degree in a health-related field required.
• At least seven years of management or professional business experience in managed health care, a medical group, hospital, health care delivery, or a related environment.
• Strong knowledge of health care economics, financing, industry dynamics, provider contracting, reimbursement policy, coding, and operations.
• Strong communication, business analysis, project management, coordination, and management-team collaboration skills.
• Experience leading professional business relationships and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with three days per week in an applicable office or relocate to a commutable location.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in public health, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
• Experience with AI tools and technologies that improve productivity and professional decision-making.
