Actuarial Manager, Annuity Pricing

Location: Hybrid, with at least two days per week or 40% of working time based in the Bristol or Edinburgh office, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Deliver commercial pricing and tailored pricing solutions for individual annuities, including legacy Final Salary products.
• Develop a streamlined approach to pricing amendments for selected Final Salary products with proposition and operational teams.
• Ensure pricing decisions are transparent, auditable and based on sound technical and financial principles.
• Prepare for and support the Annuities Pricing Committee and other governance forums.
• Develop pricing bases and methodologies with the Pricing Assumptions team.
• Support and upskill actuaries and actuarial students while managing operational risks and stakeholder relationships.

Requirements

• Qualified actuary, such as FIA or FFA, with in-depth annuity product knowledge from a provider or consultancy.
• Direct experience pricing or valuing UK Final Salary benefits is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, commercial judgement and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational, stakeholder-management and communication skills, including the ability to influence Senior Manager and Head-level stakeholders.
• Strong Excel and financial-modelling skills.
• Ability to prioritise and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
