Engineering Manager (Java/Spring Boot)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery and execution across cross-functional product teams.
• Translate business and product requirements into EPICs, technical user stories, tasks, timelines, and delivery milestones.
• Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to refine and prioritize the backlog.
• Plan sprints, manage dependencies, remove bottlenecks, and optimize team capacity and resource allocation.
• Guide technical design decisions, participate in code reviews, and maintain high engineering standards.
• Ensure monitoring, alerting, observability, SLI/SLO compliance, incident response, and post-release product metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8–10 years of experience in software development or a similar hands-on technical role.
• 5+ years building production systems with Java and Spring Boot.
• At least 3 years of experience managing and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong backend engineering expertise, Agile delivery experience, and knowledge of sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Experience with system design, CI/CD, release management, production debugging, incident response, blameless RCA, monitoring, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
