Director Capital and Business Development Planning

What you will do

• Lead departmental operations, including staffing, performance management, coaching, policy implementation, and productivity oversight.
• Oversee capital forecasting, annual capital budgeting processes, and preparation of materials for AHN Capital Committee meetings.
• Direct business planning and development, including business cases, operating assumptions, market dynamics, volume projections, and financial metrics.
• Model financial results and financial targets by business segment in support of enterprise strategic planning and capital allocation.
• Evaluate risk-adjusted financial returns across enterprise companies and perform look-back analyses on major capital expenditures.
• Work with finance, actuarial, budgeting, membership, information technology, treasury, and senior executive stakeholders to communicate modeling findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, health administration, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience accepted by the company.
• At least 7 years of management or leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of high-level financial modeling, scenario analysis, and strategic analysis experience with senior executives in a healthcare setting.
• Understanding of GAAP and statutory financial statements, risk-based capital, underwriting activity, revenue, claims expenses, and operating expenses.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain economic concepts and communicate qualitative and quantitative findings.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in economics, business, health administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
