Mechanical Engineer

Location: On-site in Pocatello, Idaho, United States. Travel up to 25%.

Base salary: $65,000–$115,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Participate in mechanical project design from proposals through sealing Issued for Construction drawings.
• Design machinery, systems, and structures for industrial processes in food processing, wood products, mining, and related industries.
• Perform technical calculations, analysis, and project data management in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare cost estimates, project proposals, design specifications, progress reports, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, customers, contractors, suppliers, and industry partners to deliver project requirements.
• Organize project tasks and mentor other professionals in mechanical engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Three years of experience in consulting engineering, food processing, wood processing, mining and metals processing, or an equivalent field.
• FE registration required; PE preferred.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and mechanics of materials.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, communicate effectively, and adapt to varied projects.
• Must work on-site in Pocatello, Idaho, United States, with up to 25% travel.
