Strategic Procurement Manager

Salary: £59,511–£63,966 per annum

What you will do

• Lead procurement and category strategies across designated directorates and spending categories.
• Manage complex, high-value procurements from planning through completion.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to senior stakeholders and represent procurement at boards and partnerships.
• Lead supplier and contract management to ensure value for money, compliance, and innovation.
• Develop procurement plans and pipelines, analyse spend, and deliver savings.
• Manage and develop procurement team members and deputise for the Head of Procurement when required.

Requirements

• Significant public sector procurement experience and a strong record of delivering complex procurements.
• Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and legislation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• CIPS Professional Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Ability to self-reflect, support change, and challenge existing approaches to improve outcomes.
