AI Vision Engineer (Computer Vision)

Location: Hybrid role in West Greenwich, Rhode Island, United States; applicants must reside within a commutable distance of the office.

Estimated starting compensation: $74,961–$164,800 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance C and C++ software, firmware, and embedded applications.
• Design and optimize computer vision and image processing solutions for OCR, OMR, barcode recognition, and multispectral imaging.
• Improve image and video quality using mathematical, statistical, and computational techniques.
• Apply machine learning and deep learning to image recognition, classification, and processing.
• Build and manage image datasets, then train, evaluate, and deploy models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and data science teams to deliver integrated retail technology solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience developing software solutions with C and C++.
• Proven experience designing and implementing computer vision and image processing algorithms.
• Strong understanding of image analysis, pattern recognition, machine learning, and deep learning.
• Experience with OpenCV and TensorFlow and/or PyTorch, plus Linux application and system-level programming.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded systems development.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
