Senior Machine Learning & Computer Vision Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Bellevue, Washington, United States

Annual salary: $111,500–$133,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain industrial-grade machine learning and computer vision applications for biological image analysis.
• Architect scalable software that integrates research prototypes into production-ready industrial workflows.
• Develop algorithms for image classification, object detection, segmentation, and other computer vision tasks.
• Optimize models and software using GPU acceleration, parallel computing, efficient data management, and benchmarking.
• Ensure reliability, security, regulatory compliance, documentation, and maintainability of life science applications.
• Collaborate with data scientists, bioinformaticians, research teams, and domain experts through code reviews, pair programming, and agile development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience focused on industrial applications.
• Strong expertise in machine learning and computer vision, including biological image data, image analysis, and relevant algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python and C/C++, with experience using TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, Git, and agile development practices.
• Experience with GPU acceleration, parallel processing, performance optimization, and scalable high-demand applications.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying machine learning models in production.
• Publications or open-source contributions in computer vision or machine learning.
• Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of microscopy, medical imaging, high-content screening, regulatory standards, and data privacy in life sciences.
