Senior Software Engineer (Computer Vision)

Location: US - Fremont, CA; work arrangements may include a mix of in-office and remote work depending on the role and business needs.

Base salary: $138,764.29–$187,739.92 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Gather requirements and prepare reviewed requirements and design specifications.
• Implement embedded equipment-control software in C# and C++ for Windows 10 and Linux.
• Develop and test computer vision, image-processing, and machine-learning algorithms for robotic systems.
• Design unit tests, perform software emulation and hardware testing, and complete system-level SQA integration.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on robotics and motion-control systems.
• Document releases, support customer software integration, and handle field escalations.

Requirements

• BS or MS in computer science or equivalent experience, with computer vision and image-processing experience.
• 7 years of professional software development experience, including 7 years with C# and/or C++.
• Experience with UML, object-oriented analysis and design, state machines, multithreading, and network communication.
• Experience with instrumentation or equipment-control software, Linux customization, Git, and Microsoft DevOps.
• Experience with machine vision, OpenCV, machine learning, REST APIs, databases, and containerization using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience developing computer vision learning algorithms for object detection, tracking, segmentation, and depth estimation.

Nice to have

• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Knowledge of deep-learning literature and the mathematical foundations of machine learning.
• Experience with robotics and motion-control software.
