Senior Robotics Engineer (AI)

Location: Philadelphia Office, hybrid

Salary: $160,000–$210,000 USD per year, excluding bonuses, benefits, and potential long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Drive perception, mapping, sensor fusion, and calibration outcomes for field robotics products.
• Lead SLAM development, incorporating new sensor capabilities and improving performance in GPS-degraded environments.
• Fuse multi-user and multi-session point-cloud maps to create consistent large-scale scenes.
• Automate the alignment of LiDAR and imagery data.
• Eliminate the need for extrinsic measurements on vehicle sensors in the field.
• Improve detection and correction of data-quality issues at their source to increase product scalability and reliability.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in robotics perception.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Extensive experience developing SLAM solutions, ideally with ground-based LiDAR.
• Experience with extrinsic and intrinsic sensor calibration, including automated data-driven calibration.
• Ability to work with high ownership in a fast-paced environment and collaborate while forming independent technical opinions.

• Experience with ultra-wide-angle cameras.
