Project Lead - SOF RACER

Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States; regular presence on base required

Salary: $135,000–$155,000 per year

What you will do

• Build relationships with SOCOM stakeholders and manage the demand pipeline.
• Conduct structured intake conversations and turn operational challenges into consortium-wide problem statements.
• Deliver member education and engagement that helps defense companies become credible competitors.
• Run training days, curation sessions, demo events, and post-event follow-through.
• Identify emerging areas of interest through public testimony and private stakeholder conversations.
• Manage workstreams autonomously within a small team and track agreed success indicators.

Requirements

• Experience with government acquisition from the industry side, including consortium, OTA, accelerator, or federal business development work.
• Ability to brief senior military leaders and coach early-stage founders.
• Strong discovery, listening, relationship-building, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to handle classified boundaries and keep unclassified discussions appropriately unclassified.
• Comfort with autonomy, ambiguity, and early escalation of mission-impacting issues.
• Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.
