Operational Technical Program Manager (AI/Geospatial)

What you will do

• Drive end-to-end execution of complex engineering projects, including milestones, dependencies, deliverables, timelines, and critical-path issues.
• Build integrated project plans and execution roadmaps with engineering and technical leaders.
• Facilitate cross-functional execution meetings, communicate risks and decisions, and drive accountability and follow-through.
• Own the federal opportunity assessment process from intake through Ag/No-Go decisions, maintaining pipeline stages, owners, decision points, and deliverables.
• Coordinate technical feasibility, resource, schedule, capacity, risk, and dependency assessments across technical and business functions.
• Develop repeatable processes, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting to improve program execution and decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Program Management, Engineering Operations, or a related discipline.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional technical programs with multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Strong experience in project planning, dependency management, risk management, and milestone tracking.
• Experience working directly with engineering and technical teams.
• Exceptional organizational, operational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to drive accountability without direct authority and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with U.S. federal government programs, contracts, procurement, capture, or Ag/No-Go and Bid/No-Bid processes.
• Background in government contracting, defense, aerospace, national security, or regulated environments.
• Technical experience with software, hardware, systems, or infrastructure engineering organizations.
• Experience with Jira, Linear, Asana, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Confluence, Notion, or similar tools.
• PMP, PgMP, or a related certification.
