Software Engineer - Agentic Orchestration (AI)

Location: Galway, Ireland; onsite in the Galway office two to three days per week

What you will do

• Build backend services for an AI-assisted authoring experience that converts natural language into structured, machine-readable plans.
• Integrate large language models to generate and validate plans, handling structured output, retries, malformed responses, and non-deterministic behavior.
• Enforce schemas that keep orchestration plans complete, consistent, and ready for runtime decision-making.
• Integrate internal services, including authentication and pagination, and normalize data from multiple sources into a common model.
• Own features from design through deployment while collaborating with stakeholders in an agile team.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Java or Python, including REST API design, object-oriented and functional programming principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Hands-on backend experience integrating LLMs and generating structured output.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, CI/CD tooling, Git, and integrations across multiple services.
• Ability to work onsite in the Galway office two to three days per week.

Nice to have

• AWS experience.
• Experience with MCP servers and exposing tools for internal service integrations.
• Knowledge of agentic orchestration patterns, state, tools, and planning loops.
• Experience building evaluation harnesses or testing non-deterministic systems.

Hiring process
