Principal Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Architect and deliver an AI-native software development lifecycle framework for existing and new services.
• Design enterprise-scale AI governance for auditable agent-to-service interactions.
• Lead the modernization of email security and threat detection across billions of messages.
• Build reusable AI primitives and reference implementations for more than 50 services.
• Design vendor reliability capabilities including predictive health, circuit breakers, and automatic adaptation.
• Lead cross-team design reviews, influence organization-wide technical decisions, and mentor senior engineers.

Requirements

• Experience architecting and delivering large-scale distributed systems serving millions of users.
• Experience leading technical strategy and architectural decisions across multiple engineering teams without direct authority.
• Experience building AI/ML-powered systems, automation frameworks, or intelligent operational tooling in production.
• Experience defining and driving adoption of software development methodologies, frameworks, or platform capabilities.
• Principal-level technical leadership across diverse first-party services and third-party SaaS integrations.

Nice to have

• Experience introducing AI-native practices such as specification-driven development, AI-assisted code generation, automated testing, and intelligent CI/CD.
• Experience with self-healing systems, predictive maintenance, AI-powered incident response, AI agent orchestration, MCP integrations, or LLM-powered automation.
• Experience establishing technical communities of practice and mentoring senior engineers.
• Experience with enterprise productivity, collaboration, or communication platforms at scale.
