Software Integration Engineer (Workato)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Workato integrations and automations.
• Create end-to-end recipes, connectors, and workflows across SaaS applications, internal tools, and databases.
• Optimise automations for performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production workflows, implementing monitoring and alerting with cross-functional teams.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and AI-powered enhancements.
• Share integration best practices and mentor colleagues on automation concepts.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in software development, automation engineering, or integration development.
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, systems engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of APIs, JSON, and common integration patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workato or other iPaaS tools such as Zapier, Boomi, MuleSoft, or Make.
• SQL and database experience, including data mapping.
• Workato custom connector development or Workato certification.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, CI/CD, ADO, or DevOps workflows.
