Managed Services Operations Lead (FinOps)

Location: Remote within the United States; up to 15% domestic travel and occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required.

What you will do

• Lead the design, implementation, and technical quality of complex FinOps solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Act as the primary escalation point and principal technical authority for complex cloud cost and financial analysis scenarios.
• Define approaches for cost allocation, tagging, showback, chargeback, budgeting, forecasting, unit economics, and executive reporting.
• Lead optimization of cloud, container, Kubernetes, AI, GPU, SaaS, licensing, and marketplace spend.
• Drive AI, machine learning, automation, data transformation, and API integration initiatives for FinOps services.
• Advise senior client stakeholders, support pre-sales and service growth, and mentor Cloud FinOps Engineers without direct personnel-management responsibility.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 10+ years of information technology experience, including 5+ years focused on FinOps, cloud cost management, cloud governance, or related cloud engineering.
• 5+ years in customer-facing, consulting, stakeholder-facing, or service delivery roles involving technical, financial, and executive audiences.
• Expertise in at least one major public cloud provider and working depth in a second; AWS or Azure experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one of Python, PowerShell, or Bash, with experience building cost transformations, automation, and reporting.
• Experience with enterprise-scale cloud environments, FinOps platforms, billing integrations, financial modeling, and technical delivery leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience building or maturing a FinOps practice, service offering, or center of excellence.
• Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, machine learning, forecasting, anomaly detection, or clustering.
• Experience with policy-as-code, Kubernetes cost allocation, AI or GPU cost management, Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow, or Jira.
• FinOps, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud certifications.
