Senior IT Applications Analyst (SCADA/ADMS)

Location: St. Petersburg, Florida, United States; hybrid work required, with residence within a reasonable commute of the St. Petersburg DCC.

Duration: 12-month contract

What you will do

• Serve as the primary IT liaison for the Distribution Control Center and support SCADA, ADMS, and related grid technologies.
• Monitor system health, application performance, infrastructure, and operational dashboards.
• Lead troubleshooting and incident response across vendors, infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and business support teams.
• Plan, test, validate, and deploy SCADA and ADMS enhancements, upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, support playbooks, knowledge articles, and implementation plans.
• Support storm readiness, emergency response, on-call rotations, and extended coverage during major weather and restoration events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline with at least four years of related experience; equivalent associate degree or high-school experience paths are accepted.
• Experience supporting utility-scale operational technology systems such as SCADA, ADMS, OMS, EMS, or related grid control applications.
• Experience working with Distribution Control Centers, system operators, or other real-time operations organizations.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident management, software testing, release validation, defect management, and change management experience.
• Knowledge of electric utility operations, outage restoration, distribution system operations, integrations, data flows, virtualization, servers, databases, and application monitoring.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and working independently in Agile environments using Jira, Confluence, qTest, or similar tools.
