What you will do
- Transform the software development lifecycle by embedding AI and autonomous agents across requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, operations, and incident response.
- Establish context and knowledge systems, evaluation frameworks, testing strategies, and engineering guardrails for safe, scalable, higher-autonomy development.
- Provide architectural leadership for high-throughput, highly available distributed systems supporting critical consumer and integrity experiences.
- Develop reusable architectural patterns that improve scalability, reliability, resilience, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Identify and build shared platform primitives across Trust, Safety, Identity, SuperApp architecture, Loyalty, Customer Support, Communications, Personalisation, and Growth.
- Guide senior engineers, engineering leaders, product leaders, and data scientists through cross-team architectural decisions while enabling autonomous teams.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering and system design experience.
- At least 5+ years in principal engineer or architect roles.
- Experience driving AI-enabled engineering transformation, including coding agents, agentic workflows, context and knowledge systems, automated testing, evaluations, and engineering guardrails.
- Experience architecting and scaling distributed systems and platforms serving millions of users with demanding reliability and availability requirements.
- Experience building or leading shared platform capabilities adopted across multiple products, business lines, or engineering organisations.
- Ability to lead cross-team architectural initiatives and influence senior engineers and engineering leaders without direct reporting authority.
