Insurance Associate - Midland (Commercial Real Estate Insurance)

What you will do

• Review commercial insurance policies for compliance with real estate loan documents, servicing contracts, GSE guides, internal procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Work with borrowers, clients, insurance agents, and insurance companies to obtain evidence of compliant insurance.
• Resolve insurance discrepancies and escalate non-compliant coverage according to established procedures.
• Process insurance premium disbursements and support lender-placed insurance activities.
• Perform additional analytical work related to claims and insurance coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience.
• Typically less than one year of professional experience or successful completion of a formal development program; 2+ years of related experience may also be considered.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of insurance legal and regulatory requirements, loan review, real estate property data analysis, financial-services regulation, and risk assessment.
• Must work in the in-office Overland Park, Kansas location.
• Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.
