Base pay: $69,000–$110,400 per year

What you will do

  • Own and grow Ethicon’s surgical device portfolio, with a focus on energy and endomechanical platforms.
  • Sell surgical solutions to surgeons, clinicians, hospital decision makers, and authorized distributors.
  • Manage assigned physicians, hospital institutions, accounts, and territory forecasts.
  • Demonstrate proper product use in operating-room settings and provide customer education.
  • Handle customer questions and objections while following product indications, sales methodology, and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Analyze market and account data, plan sales priorities, and build relationships with physicians, hospital personnel, distributors, and key opinion leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant business experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sales, with a record of achieving sales objectives.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
  • Ability to work with surgeons and hospital personnel in operating-room and clinical environments.
  • Knowledge of compliant, ethical, professional, and persuasive selling practices.

Nice to have

  • Hospital-based pharmaceutical or medical device experience, especially operating-room sales.
  • Experience selling to highly educated or high-profile customer groups.
  • Account targeting, daily action planning, market development, and collaboration with marketing, strategic account managers, distributors, and key opinion leaders.
  • Strong time management, planning, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing new or innovative markets.
