Vice President (Commercial Real Estate Lending)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Annual full-time base salary: $210,000–$265,000, with potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead rating agency calls and execution for CMBS conduit and large loans in closing.
• Analyze commercial real estate loans across multifamily, office, industrial, retail, hospitality, data center, and mixed-use properties.
• Act as the primary contact between the lender and rating agency counterparts.
• Review and communicate rating agency criteria, feedback, and loan-level treatment across CMBS transactions.
• Support the Primary Trading Desk with conduit pool-level analysis and modeling.
• Partner with underwriters and originators on pricing, execution, and transaction expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of commercial real estate rating agency, lending, underwriting, or credit experience.
• Strong working relationships with rating agencies and advanced knowledge of rating agency standards, criteria, cash flow assumptions, and transaction treatment.
• Experience reviewing underwriting and credit across commercial real estate property types through an agency, bank, life company, debt fund, or CMBS platform.
• Experience analyzing and modeling agency feedback at loan and pool levels, including conduit and large loan transactions.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word, with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

• Current or prior experience at a primary rating agency.
• Experience analyzing complex transactions and developing thoughtful approaches to rating agency treatment.
