Vice President, Portfolio Management (Leveraged & Structured Corporate Finance)

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $185,000–$240,000 base salary annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Manage a large portfolio of senior secured loans for primarily sub-investment-grade clients.
• Lead post-origination transactions, including amendments, waivers, refinancings, workouts, and restructurings.
• Prepare borrower analytics, financial updates, three-statement models, credit approval packages, market comparables, and quarterly reports.
• Monitor credit performance, conduct periodic portfolio reviews, and maintain regulatory and internal risk ratings.
• Interpret and negotiate legal documentation, identify opportunities for additional financial market products, and support KYC/CDD processing.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Risk Management, Compliance, Loan Operations, capital markets, financial markets, and portfolio analytics teams while mentoring junior bankers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics with excellent results.
• 5+ years of corporate or leveraged lending and loan portfolio management experience from a US-regulated bank.
• Credit training and a strong understanding of debt products, transaction structuring, legal documentation, and credit risk analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP accounting statements and principles.
• Three-statement financial modeling skills in Excel and experience managing internal credit approval processes from start to finish.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including submission of a writing sample, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
