Senior Commercial Cost Analyst (Industrial)

What you will do

• Produce commercial and financial reports for senior stakeholders across the Industrial division.
• Prepare Cost Value Reconciliations, including reporting for high-risk projects.
• Analyse actual costs, budgets, forecasts, variances, revenue, margins, and profitability.
• Maintain commercial risk registers, dashboards, KPIs, trackers, and project cost records.
• Support invoicing, payment applications, retention tracking, cost allocation, and contract administration.
• Partner with project, operational, procurement, commercial, and finance teams to improve performance, cash flow, and reporting processes.

Requirements

• Experience as a Commercial Analyst, Cost Analyst, Commercial Administrator, Quantity Surveying support specialist, or in a similar commercial role.
• Strong understanding of project cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and Cost Value Reconciliations.
• Experience analysing financial and commercial data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with commercial reporting systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving, organisational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate across commercial, finance, and operational teams with high attention to detail and data accuracy.

Nice to have

• Experience in construction, industrial, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
• Knowledge of contract administration, payment applications, and retention management.
• Experience creating performance dashboards and management information reports.
• Experience with ERP, commercial management, or project control systems.
• Relevant qualification in Finance, Commercial Management, Business, or a related discipline.
